Recycling Changes

     Citizens are reminded that the conversion from the green bins to the green, wheeled carts will begin on July 1st with pick up every Monday.  The previously used green bins will remain the property of the residents.  Suggested uses for the green bins can be found at either www.recycleandroll.com or www.mwatoday.com.

     After July 1st, the green carts will be picked up on every other Monday with the first pick-up day scheduled for Monday, July 13 and every other Monday thereafter.  Residents will need to put the carts at the curb by 7 A.M. pm on the pick-up day and will need to put all recycling materials, including cardboard, inside the cart.  

     Any questions about the new recycling program should be directed to the Metro Waste Authority at 244-0021.

Access to Carlisle Brush Disposal Site

Although the majority of users have used the site correctly, some users have abused this privilege by dumping trash and construction debris.  Because the site is located within the Lake Red Rock flowage easement, the dumping of trash and other debris is strictly prohibited.

In order to protect the continued existence of the brush disposal site, the city has reinstated restricted access to the brush disposal site.  The site will be open from 7:00 A.M. to 3:00 PM on weekdays and  7:00 A.M. to noon on Saturdays.
