Water Department

We are pleased to report that the City of Carlisle received NO VIOLATIONS on it's water supply the year 2010.  We will continue to strive for this goal.

PUBLIC NOTICE - Notice of Categorical Exclusion 

Monthly Rate:  The monthly rate, established in August 2002, is $5.50 for each one thousand (1,000) gallons used per month with a minimum of $5.50.

Bulk Rate:  The bulk water rate is twenty-five cents ($.25) per thirty (30) gallons for water picked up at the water treatment plant.  This service is coin operated and provided on the back side of the plant.

Outside City Rate:  The rate for water provided to consumers outside of the City of Carlisle is $11.00 per one (1000) thousand gallons used per month.


Storm & Sanitary Sewer Department

The Carlisle wastewater treatment facility is a four cell aerated lagoon system with direct discharge to the Des Moines River.  It was expanded and upgraded in 1995-96 and has a design capacity of 1,500,000 gallons per day.  The current average daily loading is 400,000 gallons with a peak daily load capacity of 5,750,000 gallons.  The current sewer rate, established in April 2008 consists of a basic service fee of $15.00 per month and a user unit charge rate of $5.70 per each 1,000 gallons.
