North Park

I imagine most small towns have one or two places that, over the
years, are special to the people of that community. North Park
is a "Special Place" for Carlisle residents and has been
for over eight decades. North Park offers a sense of warmth and
belonging, it brings back memories of youth and good times. It
is a place where families, friends and neighbors have gathered and
celebrated, watched fireworks, played or watched little league and
softball games, held reunions or just strolled hand-in-hand. It
embodies the intimacy of
a small town and the
natural beauty of Carlisle. See "Memories
of North Park" a collection of stories submitted by
Carlisle residents.

That natural beauty has been enhanced by the talent and efforts of
the members of the Garden Club who spend countless hours making
North Park, and Carlisle, just a little bit nicer. I
don't know whether nice people grow flowers or growing flowers
makes people nice but the folks in the garden club are
wonderful. We are fortunate that they share their passion
for gardening with us. Please thank them when you see them.
North Municipal Park, or North Park, was originally dedicated as
"Municipal Park" on May 13th & 14th, 1922. It
is prudent that we take the time to celebrate the 85th Anniversary
of it's dedication. Click on the link below to see the
dedication photo. Dedication
