COUNCIL MEETINGS
- Regular meetings are held on the 2nd and 4th Mondays
of every month in the Council Chambers of the City Hall at 195 N 1st
Street. The public is encouraged to attend and each meeting includes
a period for "Citizen Participation."
FORM
OF GOVERNMENT - Carlisle has a Mayor - Council form of
government with a full-time City Administrator. The citizens of
Carlisle elect five Council members and the Mayor for overlapping
four-year terms.
The City Council is the legislative body and makes all policy
determinations for the City through the enactment of ordinances and
resolutions.
The City Council also adopts a budget to determine how the City will
obtain and spend its funds. Members, boards, commissions, and committees
are appointed by Council.
City Council Members do not have set office
hours. Please feel free to call any of them at the numbers listed below.
You may also call the City Hall and request to have a council member call
you and they will return your call at their earliest convenience.

Because of that, residents are welcome to call them at their homes or
call the City Clerk and your message will be forwarded as requested.

agenda item and was received after the agenda was printed but before
the meeting, it will be distributed to Council Members at the meeting.
