Community Building

The Community Building is located at 35 Vine St. which is one block south of the downtown area.  The room is available for rent and has capacity for 200 people.

The building has restrooms, heating and air conditioning and a furnished kitchen including a stove, sink, pots and pans, refrigerator and 100 cup coffee pot.

Long, folding tables and chairs are available in the building so that you can set the room up to meet your needs.  A podium is available for formal presentations and meetings , there's a stage area for a "DJ" and plenty of floor space for dancing.

Please remember - Consumption of alcoholic beverages and beer is prohibited in all city buildings.

Community Building Policies & Procedures

Log Cabin

The Log Cabin, located at North Municipal Park, is available for rent.  The rustic log cabin sets among shade trees on a grass lawn.  The log cabin is 25' X 16' and has electricity.  Water is available in front of the log cabin.

A concrete sidewalk makes it easily accessible and connects to the parking area and improved walking paths throughout the park.  Picnic tables are available for your use at the cabin and other picnic shelters are close by.   

Behind the log cabin are beautifully community gardens maintained by the Carlisle Garden Club.  Public restrooms, playground equipment and a baseball diamond is within site from the front of the cabin.  

We have even provided a concrete dance floor in case you're looking for a place to promenade, an area to "Boogie-woogie", a quiet place for a moonlight serenade, or a place to "Shake your Bootie".  If you don't feel like dancing it's a good place to relax while the kids roller blade or ride tricycles and 3 wheelers.  The older kids can shoot a few hoops and If nobody's watching you might give that old hoola-hoop a whirl.  We can't forget the hoola-hoop!

The park closes at 10 PM.
